Full Tilt Poker Founder Arrested

Ray Bitar, CEO and founder of Full Tilt Poker surrendered to DOJ authorities in New York on July 2. Bitar is one of 11 men indicted by the DOJ back on Black Friday. Bitar is facing 5 charges including conspiracy to violate the UIGEA, operation of illegal gambling business, and money laundering conspiracy.

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara is quoted as saying that Full Tilt was an “international Ponze scheme that left players empty handed.”
